Frequently Asked Questions

How does pay-per-lead work?
You pay a set price for each qualified lead we send you, and nothing more. There's no monthly retainer. If we don't get you qualified leads, you don't pay. Pricing is agreed per trade and city, and the lead generation page breaks down what each option costs.
What counts as a 'qualified lead'?
A qualified lead is a genuine homeowner inquiry, a call, quote request or message, from someone in your service area looking for the type of job you do. A good example is if you're a deck builder but someone calls you up asking to stain their deck, we wouldn't charge you for that.
How much does a lead cost?
It depends on the pricing option you choose and your trade and city. A house washing lead in Palmerston North is going to be a lot cheaper than a re-roof lead in Auckland. Under Exclusive Leads, qualified leads generally run $50 to $250 each depending on your trade and city, and under Managed Ads it's generally $50 to $150 per lead plus your own ad spend. Under Pay Per Job there's no per-lead charge at all, you pay an agreed percentage only when a lead becomes a booked job. See the full breakdown on lead generation pricing.
How does the free trial work?
Tell us your trade and your city, if we have availability we'll send you a couple of real, qualified leads at no cost. You judge the quality yourself before you commit to paying anything. What happens if I don't get any leads? Do I still pay?
No. If we don't get you qualified leads, you don't pay us, that's the whole basis of pay-per-lead. There's no monthly retainer sitting there regardless of results.
Is there a contract or lock-in?
There is a contract, but it's not lock-in. Every option is a month-to-month agreement with no fixed term. We have to earn your business every month by delivering results, or you can walk away with no penalty. The only thing owing would be any outstanding qualified leads we have sent you.
Are the leads exclusive to me?
Yes, under Exclusive Leads and Pay Per Job, we only work with one business per trade, per city, so every lead from your campaign goes to you and nobody else. Managed Ads is not exclusive because it runs on your own ad account rather than a campaign and website we allocate exclusively.
What's the difference between Exclusive Leads, Pay Per Job and Managed Ads?
Exclusive Leads: we fund the ads and website, you pay a set price per qualified lead, exclusive to you in your city. Pay Per Job: same setup, but you only pay an agreed percentage when a lead becomes a booked job. Managed Ads: we run ads on your own website and ad account, you pay Google directly for clicks plus us a flat fee per lead to us, and it isn't exclusive. See the side-by-side comparison.
